 My name is Sonya Oltean, and I am a Level 3 LTA Accredited Tennis Coach currently pursuing my Level 4 qualification. I started playing tennis at the age of 4 and competed in my first tournament at 7. Throughout my youth, I proudly represented Romania in international tournaments alongside renowned WTA players like Simona Halep until an unfortunate event halted my playing career at 16 After earning a master's degree in tourism and moving to London in 2014, I worked in retail to fund my coaching credentials. I began my coaching journey in various schools around Central London before relocating to Greenwich in 2017. I founded Ace of Base Tennis shortly after the lockdown, establishing strong relationships with local schools and the community. It is incredibly rewarding to help children develop their skills and witness their growth as they eventually become our assistants in delivering lessons.
