🔴 Red Ball Teeny tennis ages three to five

These kids do mostly games and play-based activities. Training focuses on basic coordination like throwing, catching, rolling the ball, and balancing. They learn to hold the racket and make first contact. Outdoor we use the red felt ball, indoor we use the very soft foam ball with no internal pressure. Recommended racket up to 19 inches. Everything is about fun movement, watching the ball, and big smiles — no structured rallies yet.

🔴 Red ball ages five to eight — red felt ball

Now they train proper hand-eye coordination, simple swings, and short rallies. Drills include bouncing the ball on the racket, gentle groundstrokes, and basic footwork like shuffling. The red felt ball is 75% slower than yellow with very low compression. Recommended racket up to 23 inches. They build confidence through lots of successful hits.

🟠 Orange ball  ages eight to ten

Kids work on aiming shots, longer rallies, and split-step footwork. Training mixes volleys, directional hitting, and simple games. The orange ball is 50% slower than yellow with medium-low compression. Recommended racket 23 to 25 inches. They start learning basic tactics while keeping it fun and rally-focused.

🟢 Green ball ages nine to twelve

Kids train consistency — keeping rallies going, quicker footwork like side shuffles and recovery steps. You add topspin, approach shots, and simple tactics. The green ball is 25% slower than yellow with higher compression than orange but still softer than yellow. Recommended racket 25 to 26 inches. They play proper matches and develop match skills.

🟡 Yellow ball eleven and up

Everything speeds up. Training focuses on power, spin control, explosive footwork, serves, and reading opponents. The yellow ball is full speed and full compression. Recommended racket 26 inches and above. Coordination now includes timing under pressure and staying balanced while hitting hard. Matches feel real, so mental focus matters too.
